Yesterday we left home for Marrar. Marrar is where my Nana and Grandad live on a farm. The trip was long. Very long. We had to keep stopping for Molly. Also, the camper's brakes weren't working properly. I did a lot of craft and a bit of writing. I also slept. I had maccas twice! When we arrived at Nana and Grandad's it was very late and very cold. We set up the camper, got in our jammies and went straight to bed. It was so cold I had to wear special clothes called thermals under my jammies. I shared a bed with Erin and Claire. I kept rolling onto Claire and she kept pushing me off. I almost fell out onto the cupboard.
I woke up early this morning and nagged Mum about going into the house. Mum said to go back to bed. I went back to bed and waited. I got back up and Dad took us into the house to see Nana and Grandad. I gave Nana a big hug. Today I have had lots of fun with my Nana and sisters. We checked out the locust holes. They are holes that have been exposed by recent rain where locusts have laid their eggs and will soon hatch and swarm. We pretended to be sheep getting sold in the sale ring. I pretended to be one, but I was a bit of a lazy sheep. Nobody bought me! We collected eggs from the chooks and brushed Billy (the big dog!) Not sure if we'll be sleeping in the camper tonight or in the house!
And a note from Mum:
This was a record for our trips to Marrar. 9 hours is a long time in a car with 4 kids. Claire seems to be reacting to her flavoured antibiotics and is very angry, Molly slept through the bit where we were fixing the camper and then was not happy when we moved again, Erin couldn't find her pencil case and Hannah kept dropping things! We all slept well last night even though it was freezing cold. Had news today that our friend Kristy has had her baby girl Katelyn Jessie. Congrats to all :)
Wow Hannah, it sounds like your adventures have well and truely begin!
ReplyDeleteDid you make it through another night in the camper, or did you head into the house for some Grand-parenty-comfort in the end?
Im glad Claire didn't get squashed, but but perhaps she should sleep on the less squashable side next time ;-)
Keep us upto date of your adventures... hope Mummy, Daddy and the girls are all having as much fun as you are... say 'Hi' to them from Edward & Harri ... cos we miss you guys xxxxxxx
